The Science of Sundo Somatics 🧭 Central StructureYou seem to be mapping the evolutionary framework of Sundo Somatic Practice across four higher processes:Edge → Energize → Engage → EntrustEach corresponds to a transformation in body, breath, and awareness:Edge: awareness of boundaries, physical and mental.Energize: activation of Ki flow through alignment and breath rhythm.Engage: harmonization..

Awakening the Inner Center: The Five Levels of Sundo Somatic Breathing Practice
Awakening the Inner Center: The Five Levels of Sundo Somatic Breathing Practice1. IntroductionIn the Sundo tradition, breathing is understood as far more than a biological exchange of gases. It is the living current that connects Heaven, Earth, and Human—a dynamic rhythm through which the cosmos breathes itself into being. Within this worldview, the human body mirrors the universe, and each inha..

Centering the Self! : The Nine Energy Gates of Sundo for Somatic Leadership and Human Wholeness
Across the world’s contemplative traditions, the human body is seen not only as a biological structure but as a living field of consciousness and energy. In Yogic philosophy, this is expressed through the seven chakras—seven subtle centers extending from the base of the spine to the crown of the head (Feuerstein, 2008). In contrast, the Korean Taoist discipline of Sundo (국선도, Kouksundo) teaches ..

A Kouksundo Framework for Self-Governance through Mind, Body, and Spirit IntroductionLeadership has often been defined as the ability to influence others toward achieving a common purpose (Northouse, 2022).
