
Kouksundo Energy Circulation Practice (Tong-gi Beop, 通氣法)

Step 1. Alignment
- Stand or sit comfortably.
- Imagine the left and right sides of your pelvis as negative and positive poles.
- Gently align body, mind, and spirit into a single calm state.
Step 2. Lower Energy Breathing
- Breathe into the Ha-danjeon (lower energy center below the navel).
- Use Dol-dan Breathing (deep, circular breath).
- Visualize a fusion generator within you, producing powerful life energy.
Step 3. Energy Flow Through Filaments
- Imagine this energy flowing through bright filaments—the meridians (Ren, Du, 12, 14, and 365 channels).
- See these pathways as radiant lines connecting your whole body.

Step 4. Fusion of Heaven and Earth
- Focus like a laser beam.
- Feel the merging of heavenly energy (breath) and earthly energy (food) into a single fire: the Dan-fire.

Step 5. Pulsation of Light
- As the Dan-fire becomes active, picture the filaments glowing brighter and dimmer, like the pulsing rhythm of a generator.
- Notice this dynamic expansion and contraction.
Step 6. Deep Nourishment
- Allow the condensed energy to flow more strongly.
- See the filaments brighten fully, illuminating your entire being.
- Let this living energy nourish and awaken your spirit (Ŏl-ryeong-nim).
Step 7. Radiant Circulation (Bak-dol)
- Contemplate the meaning of Bal-dol: the radiant energy that circulates through the entire meridian system of the body.
- Feel your whole self alive, luminous, and connected.
